Poetic Abstraction
ArtExpo Gallery
Date & Venue
Date : March 25 - 27, 2011
The exhibition presents a collection of talented Korean artists that all revisit the common themes of nature and poetry.
They approach their respective themes in an abstract manner, either deconstructing or simplifying forms and personalizing them.
They use color to portray emotion, as well as deviating from the traditional imagery that is associated with the environment. Although the majority of the artists exhibited are interested in nature and landscapes, they take these themes and appropriate them in a unique manner. This exceptional exhibit brings together eight artists with distinctive vision and style, presenting a face to contemporary Korean art.
